Global renewable energy solution provider, Suzlon Energy Group and Yanara have extended their partnership today, December 17, with the signing of two new wind
contracts of 153 MW each for Yanara's firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects in Barmer, Rajasthan, totalling 153 MW. “This is to inform that Suzlon and Yanara extend partnership with 306 MW Wind Turbine Orders in Rajasthan. The press release in this regard is attached herewith,” the company stated in an exchange filing. Across Yanara's two FDRE projects in Barmer, aggregating to about 800 MWp, Suzlon will install a total of 102 advanced S144 wind turbine generators with hybrid lattice towers, each rated at 3 MW. The power generated will partially fulfil Yanara's power purchase agreement obligations with various utilities, including NTPC and NHPC. "Collaborations like Suzlon and Yanara are driving India's energy transition, proving how strong partnerships enable sustainable growth,” says Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group. “At Yanara, we are developing pioneering projects across Asia-Pacific to accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels,” says Jerome Ortiz, Chief Executive Officer, Yanara. Suzlon has received two repeat orders from Yanara this year, solidifying its 44% market share in Rajasthan's wind energy sector, with 102 S144 wind turbines (3 MW each) set to be supplied for the 306 MW project. The projects will be executed in Barmer, Rajasthan. Yanara is building a grid-scale portfolio of hybrid renewable projects combining solar, wind, and energy storage solutions to deliver round-the-clock clean power, with India's goal of universal energy access and the 500 GW non-fossil energy capacity target by 2030. The two Rajasthan projects come in quick succession after Yanara's 115 MW co-located solar-wind hybrid project in Maharashtra, which is nearing completion and includes a 29.4 MW Suzlon wind order. Founded in 1995, Suzlon is one of the leading global renewable energy solution providers. Over the past two decades, Suzlon has installed over 21.3 GW of wind energy in 17 countries across six continents. Yanara develops, builds, and operates next-generation, utility-scale hybrid renewable projects that advance the dual shift to cleaner power and deeper electrification across the Asia Pacific.
