What's Happening?
The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has announced the selection of 219 suppliers, including major firms like Jacobs, Mace Consult, and WSP, for the new £1.7 billion Management Consultancy Framework Four (MCF4). This framework is designed to provide management consultancy services to the UK public sector, covering areas such as infrastructure, procurement, and supply chain. The MCF4 replaces the previous £3.6 billion MCF3 and will run until July 2027. The framework aims to support the strategic objectives of the new government by offering specialized consultancy services across various sectors.
Why It's Important?
The revised framework represents a significant opportunity for infrastructure firms to partner with public sector clients on complex projects. By securing spots in the framework, these firms can contribute to innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions that benefit communities across the UK. The focus on social value and carbon reduction aligns with broader environmental and sustainability goals. This initiative not only supports the public sector's strategic objectives but also fosters collaboration between government and industry to address infrastructure challenges.
