Kazakhstan has increased its quota for foreign workers to 19,400 positions, representing 0.25% of the national workforce. As of August 1, 14,130 foreign citizens are employed under work permits issued by local authorities. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection reported that permits have been granted to top managers, heads of divisions, specialists, and qualified workers. The largest sectors employing foreign workers include construction, agriculture, and manufacturing. China, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, and India are the leading sources of foreign employees.
