FL Technics Indonesia is set to significantly expand its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations in Jakarta. The company plans to invest approximately €50 million ($58 million) to add a six-bay hangar, two painting bays, and an engine shop, increasing its facility size from 16,000 m2 to 45,000 m2. This expansion aims to address the growing demand for MRO services in Southeast Asia, driven by a robust aircraft delivery pipeline. The Jakarta facility, which opened in December 2016, currently accommodates 8-10 narrowbody aircraft simultaneously and employs around 500 staff. The expansion will create 400 additional jobs, enhancing the site’s capabilities in top-case engine maintenance, wheels and brakes, and painting services.
