Masteel's commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050 is supported by a six-phase roadmap, achieving a 51.2% reduction in Scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions as of 2024. The company has invested over RM57 million in carbon capture monitoring, resulting in a 33.7% reduction in emissions per metric tonne of steel.
