Alipay+, a global wallet gateway, has partnered with Kaspi.kz, Kazakhstan's leading super app, to enable international cross-border QR payment acceptance in Kazakhstan. This collaboration allows users of 12 Alipay+-enabled payment apps to scan-to-pay via Kaspi QR, which covers a wide range of merchants nationwide, including shopping, food and beverage, attractions, convenience stores, and medical services. Kazakhstan is now the first country in Central Asia to accept Alipay+, leveraging its digital payment infrastructure to benefit from tourism growth. In the first half of 2025, Kazakhstan welcomed a record 7.5 million international visitors, many of whom can now use their Alipay+-enabled apps for seamless payments.
