VinFast has introduced a fleet of ultra-luxury electric vehicles, the Lạc Hồng 900 LX, designed for transporting international heads of state during Vietnam's 80th National Day celebrations. The vehicle features advanced security measures, including bullet-resistant glass and run-flat tires, and has been tested to withstand 440 live rounds and 11 explosive blasts. The Lạc Hồng 900 LX is equipped with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system, producing 402 horsepower and powered by a 123 kWh battery pack. The armored version, developed with INKAS Armored Vehicle Manufacturing, increases power output to 455 horsepower to accommodate its weight of 5,049 kg. The vehicle's design incorporates cultural elements, such as a gold-plated logo and handcrafted gold details, reflecting Vietnamese heritage.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of the Lạc Hồng 900 LX represents VinFast's ambition to position itself as a global leader in luxury electric vehicles, showcasing Vietnam's technological capabilities and cultural heritage. This move could enhance Vietnam's image on the international stage, attracting attention to its growing automotive industry. The vehicle's advanced security features and cultural design may appeal to high-profile clients, potentially boosting VinFast's reputation and market presence. Additionally, the focus on luxury and security could set new standards in the EV industry, influencing future designs and offerings from other manufacturers.
What's Next?
VinFast may continue to develop and expand its luxury EV offerings, potentially introducing non-armored versions of the Lạc Hồng 900 LX to a broader market. The company's emphasis on cultural heritage and advanced technology could lead to increased interest and investment in Vietnam's automotive sector. As VinFast seeks to establish itself as a symbol of national pride and technological prowess, it may explore further collaborations and innovations to enhance its global competitiveness.
