Alia Bhatt, who has been promoting her upcoming movie, Alpha, recently appeared on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent. While she was also accompanied by her co-star Sharvari, did she charge money for her appearance on the show?
Earlier this week, Alia visited the JECRC University in Jaipur to promote the Shiv Rawail’s spy thriller. During the session, Alia discussed her appearance on the premiere episode of India’s Got Latent 2 when a student asked her why she chose to make an appearance on the controversial show. At this point, somebody from the audience shouted, “Paisa! (money).” However, Alia took it sportingly and replied, “Kaun bola? Gareeb aadmi (Who said that? Some poor guy).”
Later, Samay also reposted a video of the moment on his Instagram
Stories and wrote, “Hahahaha full kill (laughter with tears emojis).”

It should be noted that Alia’s response was a reference to the instance during the premiere episode of India’s Got Latent 2. During the episode, when Samay asked a contestant, “What does a girl want from a man?” an audience member shouted, “Paisa!” When Alia asked, “Who said that?”, Samay responded by saying, “Koi gareeb aadmi”.
The first episode of India’s Got Latent 2 premiered on Netflix and YouTube simultaneously, featured Alpha stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. After the episode, Samay also praised the actresses for being good sports and wrote on social media, “Soooo much love for @aliaabhatt and @sharvari for being so chill and fun. It takes a lot of guts for someone at such heights of the game. Humbled by your humility and learnt so much from you. I was always a fan of your work, but now an even bigger fan of the people you are.”
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt’s Alpha is touted as the first female-led instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes films like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3 and War 2. The film will hit the big screens on July 3, 2026.
