AWL Agri Business Q2 profit dips 2 pc, revenue rises to Rs 22,271 cr

New Delhi, Oct 27 (PTI) AWL Agri Business Ltd on Tuesday reported a 2 per cent drop in consolidated net profit to Rs 239.39 crore for the quarter ended September, despite higher revenue.

Its net profit stood at Rs 244.85 crore in the year-ago period. AWL Agri Business Ltd sells edible oil and other food items under various brands, including Fortune.

Total income rose to Rs 22,271.25 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 17,525.61 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing.

Revenue from the edible oil business rose to Rs 17,067 crore from Rs 13,827.65 crore, while the total income from the Food and FMCG segment grew to Rs 2,216.21 crore in Q2 FY27 from Rs 1,681.11 crore a year ago.

Kanhere, MD & CEO, AWL Agri Business Ltd, said, “We delivered a strong performance in Q2 FY27, with revenue growing 26 per cent and underlying volume growth of 14 per cent, reflecting the strength of our diversified portfolio and consistent execution across businesses.”

He said the Food and FMCG business remained a key growth driver, delivering 32 per cent revenue growth and crossing Rs 2,200 crore in quarterly revenues, while maintaining profitability in line with expectations.

“Our strategy remains clear: to build one of India’s largest and most trusted food platforms, anchored in daily essentials and centre-of-the-plate categories. The shift towards branded and packaged foods presents a significant growth opportunity, and our strong brands, integrated manufacturing capabilities and extensive distribution network position us well to capitalise on this opportunity,” Kanhere said.
