Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passed away on Sunday, April 12, in Mumbai. The sad news was confirmed by Maharashtra’s Minister of Cultural Affairs, Ashish Shelar, earlier today. Her mortal remains will be kept at her residence tomorrow (April 13) from 11 am to 3 pm for the public to pay their respects, followed by her last rites at Shivaji Park at 4 pm. The news of her demise has shocked the entire nation, with tributes pouring in from across the film and music fraternity, as fans and celebrities alike mourn the loss of an irreplaceable voice that defined generations. Veteran actor Kamal Haasan shared throwback memories with the late singer from the sets of Chachi 420.

A while ago, Kamal Haasan took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared a montage
video featuring moments from the sets of Chachi 420. He directed the film as well as played an impactful role in it. He collaborated with Asha Bhosle on the song Jago Gori. In the moments shared by him, they can be seen recording the song, while Kamal is dressed in Chachi’s role. The 1997 comedy film also starred Tabu and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
