With the onset of winter, a thick layer of smog and haze is engulfing the national capital like always. These gas chambers of smog are forcing residents to rely on air purifiers just to breathe easier
indoors. But now, these purifiers have made their way to wedding venues. Yes, we aren’t kidding. The air purifiers are taking centre stage, replacing the usual decorations.
In a clip doing rounds on the internet, a woman gave a glimpse of how air purifiers are replacing flower arrangements at a Delhi wedding.
The woman recording the video quips, “Ye kya ho raha hai Delhi mein? First, we used to decorate weddings with flowers; now it’s air purifiers on the mandap.”
She then turns the camera to show the bride and groom wearing matching N95 editions. She sums it up perfectly, “Love and low oxygen, bro. Delhi wedding vibes but not breathable.”

Well, it was clarified that the video was AI generated. “Comment “Delhi” and I’ll DM you this viral Sora AI cinematic vlog prompt — surreal, smoggy & too real,” read her caption.
How Are Social Media Users Responding?
As expected, the internet community rushed to the comments section of the post to share their views. A majority of users were shocked to see the low visibility in the clip, while others agreed that this is actually what will happen in the near future.
“Girlie you just scared me,” read a comment.
Another said, “This is the future.”
“Is this even real, like this much low visibility?” questioned a user.
An individual quipped, “Love is not in the air.”
“I read it in 2025. One of my connections from Delhi shared me about the atmosphere and they are planning to move,” shared a user.
Another stated, “This is actually sad. Disheartening.”
Delhi’s Air Purifiers Scene
In another viral post, a Delhi-based market analyst demonstrated how even multiple air purifiers can’t keep up with the city’s pollution. Despite having four purifiers running day and night, the clip showed how the indoor AQI reading jumped from a healthy to a hazardous level within seconds of opening his main door.
In the short clip, the man opens his main door and turns the camera towards a running air purifier. The display, which initially showed a reading of 97, which means clean or breathable air indoors, shoots beyond 500 within seconds.

The video left viewers stunned, highlighting just how helpless Delhi residents feel every winter. The sharp rise in AQI numbers highlights the severity of the pollution in the capital, where even love now comes with a mask.
