Lilly Singh Recalls Having Lunch With Shah Rukh Khan And Family At Mannat: ‘He Gave Me His Blazer'

Popular YouTuber-comedian-actor Lilly Singh arrived in Mumbai last week, and what immediately caught attention was her rocking a Shah Rukh Khan T-shirt. She is currently in Mumbai to film a new season of her podcast ‘Shame Less With Lilly Singh.’ In a recent interview, she recalled the time when Shah Rukh Khan had hosted her at his home in Mannat, during one of her previous Mumbai trips. She met his family, had lunch with them, and revealed that SRK also gave her one of his blazers! Needless to say, she was thrilled, and she called it one of the most memorable days of her life.

When Shah Rukh Khan Hosted Lilly Singh In Mannat

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Lilly Singh said that Shah Rukh Khan once hosted her at his home Mannat, during

one of her previous trips to Mumbai. Having grown up manifesting SRK energy, she said that it was one of the best days of her life! “It was one of the greatest days of my life, being hosted at Mannat. Which is why when I landed I wore an SRK shirt. What’s funny is everytime I’m in Mumbai in an auto, the rickshaw driver will say ‘Madam that’s Shah Rukh Khan’s house’ and I say ‘Oh really.’ Of course I don’t tell them I’ve been in his house. I met his family, had lunch there. He gave me one of his blazers that I have till date,” recalled Lilly.

For the unversed, when Lilly Singh arrived in Mumbai last Sunday, she was seen wearing a  T-shirt printed with Shah Rukh Khan’s name and pictures of the superstar. She paired it with baggy black pants and a matching cap. As soon as she spotted the paparazzi, she greeted them in Marathi, saying ‘Kasa kaay, Mumbai?’ When asked about her SRK tee, Lilly replied, “When you land in Mumbai, you have to pay respect to the King.”

As per reports, she is in India to shoot the new season of her podcast Shame Less With Lilly Singh, and will be filming with various Indian celebrities from different fields. The new season will widen the focus of her show, which has previously hosted actors such as Aditi Rao Hydari, Ananya Panday, Neena Gupta, Bhumi Pednekar and Sidharth Malhotra. She recently met Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai, and shared a video with him.
