New Delhi, Aug 27 (PTI) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta celebrated Raksha Bandhan with children on Thursday, according to a statement issued by the Delhi CMO.
The children tied handmade Rakhis to Gupta, who presented them gifts and chocolates.
Gupta interacted with the children and asked about their schools, studies and families. Several children also presented poems and songs they had prepared for the occasion.
She said Raksha Bandhan was not merely a thread but a symbol of love, trust and responsibility towards one another.
A group of children told the chief minister that they had drawn inspiration from her Clean Yamuna campaign.
Appreciating their creativity and awareness, Gupta encouraged them to contribute towards keeping Delhi clean and beautiful.
