Mari Selvaraj’s Tamil sports drama film ‘Bison’, starring Dhruv Vikram, released in theatres on 17th October, coinciding with Diwali. The movie garnered great reviews from the audience and critics alike,
and was lauded for its riveting storyline, excellent performances and social relevance. The gripping sports-action drama received high praise from Rajinikanth, Mani Ratnam, Vetri Maaran, Hansal Mehta and many others. Now, after a successful theatrical run, ‘Bison Kaalamaadan’ is all set for its OTT release. The makers have officially announced the OTT premiere date of the film.
Everything To Know About Bison OTT Release
On Monday, the makers of the film announced that Bison Kaalamaadan will begin streaming on November 21, 2025, on Netflix. The streaming giant acquired the digital rights of Mari Selvaraj and Dhruv Vikram’s film as part of its expansion into Tamil cinema, which also includes films such as Kaantha, Dude, Good Bad Ugly, and Dragon. Bison will be available on Netflix, not only in Tamil but also in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, making the story accessible to a broader, multilingual audience. Announcing the digital release of Bison, the makers wrote, “Kabaddi might just be a sport to you. But to Kittan, Kabaddi is his entire life. Watch Bison on Netflix, out 21 November in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.” Check it out below!

About Bison
Bison Kaalamaadan, written and directed by Mari Selvaraj, is a sports drama based on the life of kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan. It follows the story of a man who strives to excel in kabaddi while overcoming caste-based discrimination. The film stars Dhruv Vikram, Pasupathy, Ameer, Lal, Anupama Parameswaran, Rajisha Vijayan and Azhagam Perumal. It is jointly produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Seigal, Pa. Ranjith and Aditi Anand under Applause Entertainment and Neelam Studios.
The film is set in the tumultuous backdrop of 1990s caste-based violence and district rivalries. It revolves around Kittan Veluswamy, who hails from a socially oppressed caste in rural Tamil Nadu. Fuelled by his love for kabaddi, Kittan faces caste prejudice, violent feuds, and family opposition while he dreams of representing India at the Asian Games.
