Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla
The actor is currently seen in a horror comedy and film has been doing well. Released last Friday, the film has managed to stay firm despite competition from Dhurandhar 2, which has been running in theatres since March. While big-ticket clashes often impact collections, Bhooth Bangla appears to be holding its own, especially through the crucial first week. As per trade estimates from Sacnilk, the film collected ₹5.15 crore net in India on Thursday, taking its total to ₹84.05 crore by 10 PM on Day 7. It opened with ₹3.75 crore from premiere shows, followed by ₹12.25 crore on its first day. The weekend saw a strong jump, with ₹19 crore on Saturday and ₹23 crore on Sunday. Like most releases, the film witnessed a dip at the start of the week but maintained decent numbers. Monday brought in ₹6.75 crore, while Tuesday and Wednesday added ₹8 crore and ₹6.15 crore respectively. Within just seven days, the film has already crossed the lifetime earnings of Bhediya (₹68.99 crore) and Roohi (₹28.70 crore), underlining its strong start.
