BSE Share Price: BSE shares climbed 6% to hit the day’s high of Rs 2,805 on the NSE on Wednesday, November 12, after the exchange reported a robust 61% year-on-year (YoY) rise in consolidated net profit
for the September quarter (Q2FY26). Profit after tax (PAT) rose to Rs 558 crore from Rs 347 crore in the same period last year.
Revenue from operations grew 44% YoY to Rs 1,068 crore, compared to Rs 741 crore in Q2FY25. Sequentially, PAT was up 3.5% from Rs 539 crore in Q1FY26, while revenue rose 12% from Rs 958 crore in the June quarter.
However, the exchange’s Average Daily Turnover (ADTV) in the equity cash segment fell 19% YoY in H1FY26 to Rs 7,584 crore, versus Rs 9,396 crore in H1FY25.
Transaction charges contributed Rs 794 crore during the quarter, up 57% YoY and 8% sequentially. Treasury income from clearing and settlement funds stood at Rs 43 crore, down from Rs 45 crore in Q1FY26 and Rs 63 crore a year earlier. Revenue from corporate services rose to Rs 138 crore, up from Rs 105 crore in Q1FY26 and Rs 119 crore in Q2FY25.
In the equity derivatives segment, average daily notional turnover increased to Rs 164 lakh crore from Rs 128 lakh crore a year ago, even as average daily lots traded fell to 100 million from 153 million in Q2FY25.
