Randeep Hooda is enjoying the new phase of his life as a father, and two months after his baby girl Nyomica’s birth, the actor has opened up about this new chapter. Talking about the unexpected emotional shift that he has witnessed, Randeep shared that now he wishes to go home more than ever in life.
Speaking to Mid-day, Randeep Hooda shared, “As a person, I feel a bit weaker in the knees. I want to go home more than ever since I got married because it is another reason to go back to. I often find myself sitting in a corner and smiling to myself, thinking of my daughter.”
While it has been two months since he became a father, he believes he is still quite new at doing all the dad duties and added, “It has been two months, but there is more to
discover every day. As my parents say, it is the best achievement of my life.”
Not only has Randeep’s personal life changed, but the actor’s film choices have also evolved after becoming a dad. He said, “I have never made choices that will embarrass me later in front of my kids or anybody else’s kids. So, that is not going to change.”

The proud parents took to social media to announce the name, marking the milestone with love and gratitude. The couple named their daughter Nyomica, a name that has a beautifully etched meaning.
“A new center to our world, NYOMICA HOODA – Divine Grace, Freedom and limitless like the sky,” read the caption. They also added an audio note calling out her name. In the pictures, Lin can be seen holding her baby girl and showering her with love, capturing a tender and heartwarming moment.
Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram tied the knot on November 29, 2023, in a traditional Meitei wedding ceremony in Manipur. Held in Imphal, the intimate celebration beautifully reflected Lin’s cultural roots. In November 2025, the couple announced they were expecting their first child, sharing the news on their second wedding anniversary. They welcomed their daughter on March 10, 2026, which also coincided with Randeep’s birthday.
