Passengers on a moving train were left shocked when they witnessed a brutal attack by a pantry manager on one of his staff members over the water bottle price. The short argument led to a violent and disturbing
scene inside the moving train.
The confrontation began when a passenger noticed he was charged Rs 20 for a bottle listed at Rs 15. He is heard saying in the video, “Yaha par bhi overcharging chal rahi hai, inke jo ladke hai wo maan nhi rahe hai. Ladke kisi ke bhi nahi maante. Ye pura kaam manager ka hi hota hai (Overcharging is happening here too and their boys (staff) are not listening. The boys don’t obey anyone. This whole thing is planned by manager only).”
He raised the issue with the staff and filed a complaint which prompted the pantry manager and his team to intervene. What followed was an aggressive and shocking display of violence.
The Dispute Over Water Bottle Price
The man asks the pantry manager, “Pani ki bottle kitne ki bikwa rahe ho? (For how much price are you selling the water bottle?).” To this, manager answers and tells him Rs 15.
The passenger further says, “Rs 20 ki mujhko de gaya aur wo kehra hai Rs 20 ke niche nhi lunga (I was given it for Rs 20 and the boy said he will not take anything less than Rs 20).”
The conversation soon escalated and the manager is seen attacking the staff member physically.
Brutal Assault Caught On Camera
In the video, the manager is seen kicking, slapping and dragging the employee by his hair inside the train. Despite attempts by passengers to intervene, the assault continues. At one point, he is heard saying, “Company ke Rs 25,000 jurmana bharna padega. Rs 5 ke chaakkr mein Rs 25,000 bharna padta hai (You will have to pay Rs 25,000 in fine for the company. All this over Rs 5).”

Voices Against Violence
The video prompted strong reactions. Most viewers agreed that, regardless of the staff member’s mistake, physical assault was completely unacceptable
One user commented, “Even if the employee committed the mistake, his manager/senior official doesn’t have any authority to physically manhandle him.”
Another said, “No one has the right to raise their hand.”
“A solution can be found even without dying. What’s the need to resort to violence,” someone else said.
“What’s the point of physically assaulting someone? The correct procedure should be to sack the offending staff & deboard him in the next station!” a person added.
“This behaviour is absolutely unacceptable. Overcharging is wrong, but assaulting someone for it is even worse. Penalise, suspend, fine — YES. But violence is not ‘management’. This is exactly how power gets misused,” a viewer pointed out.
One user pointed out that the video may not be recent but it is still unclear when and on which train route this incident happened.
