A video of a group of youths bursting firecrackers from a moving car in Hyderabad has surfaced on social media, prompting police action. The incident occurred on the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway on Wednesday night, causing panic and chaos.
The video shows the car occupants igniting firecrackers and firing rockets while the vehicle was in motion, endangering the lives of other commuters. The car, bearing registration number TG 11 A 9177, was later traced by the police. Motorists said the fireworks could have easily caused accidents on the high-speed stretch.

Several commuters recorded the reckless act on their mobile phones and shared it on social media. The footage quickly went viral, drawing widespread criticism and prompting swift police action.
Officers reviewed the viral video and traced the vehicle owner using the registration number. During questioning, the owner confirmed that the car belonged to them. Based on this information, the Rajendranagar traffic police identified and detained the youths involved.
The accused were later handed over to the Rajendranagar police for further legal action.
Crackers Burst From Moving Car In Gurugram
A similar incident was reported in Gurugram in September, where fireworks were burst from a moving car, and the video had gone viral on social media. Police had taken cognizance, but the car and its owner were not identified instantly as it was bearing a temporary registration number.
According to NDTV, the incident occurred on Dwarka Expressway on September 23. The video showed fireworks launching from the roof of a Mahindra Scorpio while a Hyundai Creta, travelling behind, recorded the act. The footage was shared on social media user on September 27, noting that the Scorpio had a temporary number plate.
The post suggested the fireworks were to celebrate the car’s purchase. In response, the Gurugram Police said the matter was forwarded for action and warned that strict measures would be taken against such reckless acts.
