Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has already positioned itself as one of the most anticipated films of the year. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the gangster drama is slated for a theatrical release

on March 19.

Adding to the excitement, the makers dropped the film’s teaser on January 8, coinciding with the Rocking Star’s 40th birthday. While fans are going gaga over the striking visuals and intense tone of the teaser, writer-director Geetu Mohandas marked the occasion by sharing a long, warm birthday note for Yash. In her message, she reflected on the actor’s creative process, discipline, and the strong collaborative spirit that shaped the film.

The teaser of Toxic offers a glimpse into the film’s dark, violent universe, introducing Yash as the ruthless gangster Raya. It opens at a heavily guarded funeral before a mysterious car pulls up. The narrative shifts to an intimate moment between a man and a woman, until a blast occurs. Stepping out from the car, the man appears shirtless, then slips into a black overcoat, revealing himself as Yash. Surrounded by fog, he guns down the men before delivering the chilling line, “Daddy’s home.”
