OpenAI Brings Prism AI Workspace For Scientific Writing And Collaboration

OpenAI has launched an intriguing product in the form of Prism which caters to the scientist community and enables them to access AI for free and collaborate using it. This is a cloud-based workspace where

AI comes to form and help researchers with research workflows and scientific writing.

The company claims to have combined the multi-layer process of scientific research and made a one-size fit all platform that is free and ready to use for anyone with a personal ChatGPT account with other tiers getting it later. 

Prism: The AI For Scientists 

OpenAI says Prism is built on the latest GPT 5.2 which offers its most advanced reasoning model. The cloud platform offers web-based chatbot support and further AI smartness that makes researchers work easy and efficient. Having this all-in-one platform, according to OpenAI, reduces the chances of losing context of the data and doing everything including collaboration through Prism rather than moving across different apps for the system. 

Having GPT 5.2 do the heavy work means the reasoning model is better equipped to handle the structure of the research paper and even manage to solve the equations. But the biggest takeaway of Prism is its ability to bring multiple people to work on the same paper simultaneously. 

The real-time collaboration could be very handy while they browse through the data or even brainstorm on the next course of action for their research. Interestingly, Prism is being made available for free (with a ChatGPT account) and the other paid versions will be getting it in the near future. 

OpenAI has been warned about the ill effects of under age users on ChatGPT and using the AI chatbot so the company is bringing a new way to predict age on ChatGPT. This is not like a fun tool that allows people to predict their age using AI but more focused on keeping the platform safe for kids and teens which has become a vital part of its overall growth.

The feature is rolling out this month for all users but those in the European Union (EU) regions will have to wait for a few more weeks.
