A young woman faced harassment at a disco in Gorakhpur while dancing and singing with friends, as a middle-aged man openly filmed her and made lewd gestures, alarming onlookers.
The victim, a content creator
named Sweksha Mishra with over 60,000 followers, resides in Gorakhpur and frequently posts photos and videos of herself. In June, she shared a video that captured the shocking behaviour. The video shows the man harassing the woman, forcibly filming her, and making lewd gestures when she attempted to stop him.
The video, which has garnered 4.4 million views, sparked widespread outrage. Sweksha explained, “I posted this video after much thought, so that such men are humiliated… This man harassed me a lot.”

The footage clearly shows that the woman was not at fault. Many viewers expressed their support in the comments. One user appreciated that the woman did not blur the man’s face, saying it was important for everyone to see his identity.
Another commented that incidents like this justify the need for separate train and metro coaches for women. Yet another suggested that the man should have been confronted on the spot.
The incident highlights the ongoing issue of harassment, urging society to take a stand against such unacceptable behaviour.
