'Well Deserved!': Allu Arjun Congratulates Mammootty, Kartik Aaryan, Yami Gautam After National Awards

The winners of the 72nd National Film Awards were announced today, July 18, 2026. Needless to say, congratulatory messages have been pouring in from across the film industry. Joining the celebrations, Allu Arjun shared a heartfelt note applauding the winners, while giving a special shout-out to Telugu cinema’s impressive showing.

Allu Arjun took to X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate the winners of the 72nd National Film Awards, celebrating the achievements of actors, filmmakers and technicians across Indian cinema. The Pushpa star congratulated Mammootty and Kartik Aaryan for sharing the Best Actor award and Yami Gautam for winning Best Actress.

He also praised Pushpa 2 director Sukumar for winning Best Screenplay, while congratulating Deepali and Sheetal Sharma for Best Costume Design. Allu Arjun further celebrated the success of Telugu cinema, congratulating his cousin Niharika Konidela and the Committee Kurrollu team for winning Best Telugu Film, along with P. Ravi Kumar for Best Makeup.

He also highlighted Kalki 2898 AD winning Best Popular Film and Best Production Design, Venky Atluri receiving Best Dialogues for Lucky Baskhar, 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu winning Best Children’s Film, and Arundev Pothula being named Best Child Artist.

Rajkummar Rao-starrer Srikanth was named Best Hindi Feature Film, while Kartik Aaryan received his first National Award, sharing the Best Actor trophy with Malayalam superstar Mammootty. Kartik was recognised for Chandu Champion, while Mammootty won for Bramayugam.

One of the biggest winners of the day was Article 370. The political thriller not only bagged the prestigious Best Feature Film award but also earned Yami Gautam the Best Actress honour.
