One injured in gas cylinder explosion

Apr 20 (PTI) An LPG cylinder leak triggered a fire and a blast at a house in Beed city on Monday, leaving a man seriously injured, police said.

The incident occurred when a gas cylinder was being replaced. It is suspected that the leaking gas came into contact with a lit lamp in the prayer room, triggering a blaze.

The injured man was rushed to a nearby private hospital for emergency treatment. His condition is reported to be serious, an official added.

A team from the Beed Municipal Council’s Fire Brigade extinguished the flames before they could spread to adjacent houses. PTI COR NSK
