New Delhi, Jun 23 (PTI) NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited (NBBL), the wholly-owned subsidiary of National Payments Corporation of India, has onboarded Delhi Traffic Police on its Bharat Connect platform as a biller under the E-Challan category.
With this integration, citizens in Delhi will be able to search, view, and pay traffic challans across Bharat Connect-enabled apps, further strengthening India’s digital public infrastructure, NPCI said in a statement.
The integration has been facilitated by the State Bank of India (SBI), which is acting as the Biller Operating Unit (BOU) for the implementation, it said.
Delhi Traffic Police issues over 28,000 challans daily, through a combination of camera-based enforcement and in-person ticketing. Until now,
citizens were required to pay challans directly to the Delhi Traffic Police within 90 days of issuance via their website, through POS machines, cash, demand drafts, or cheques. PTI DP SHM
