The makers of Border 2 marked another milestone in the film’s journey with the launch of its new song Jaate Hue Lamhon at a grand event held at Mumbai’s United Services Club on January 12. The evening
brought together the cast and crew of the film, along with singer-composer Vishal Mishra, who has lent his voice to the track.
The singer was not just present at the launch but also delivered a live performance that instantly struck a chord with everyone in the room. As he sang Jaate Hue Lamhon, his soulful voice filled the hall and created a magical moment that left the audience visibly spellbound. Adding to the moment, actors Ahan Shetty and Anya Singh were seen standing together behind Vishal, soaking in the performance. Their expressions said it all, enjoying the emotion of the song.

Originally composed by Anu Malik with lyrics by Javed Akhtar, Jaate Hue Lamhon has been recreated for the upcoming sequel of Border. The refreshed version, sung by Vishal Mishra and Roop Kumar Rathod, perfectly blends contemporary tunes with the emotional depth of the original composition.
Varun Dhawan On Border 2
Border 2 is set to arrive in theatres on January 23, 2026. It boasts a stellar star cast, including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh. Ahead of the release, Varun wrote a note on social media and wrote, “I was just a kid in class four when I went to Chandan cinema and saw Border. It made such a big impact. I still remember the sense of national pride we all felt in the hall.”
He added, “JP Dutta sir’s war epic remains one of my most favourite movies to this day. To play a part in Border 2, produced by JP sir and Bhushan Kumar, is a very, very special moment in my career. And getting to work with Sunny Paaji – my hero – makes it all the more special.”
