Preity Zinta is bringing back the charm of classic Bollywood ethnic fashion, and her latest promotional look for Batwara 1947 is proof that traditional dressing can be both elegant and refreshingly contemporary.
For the film’s press tour, Zinta opted for a striking fuchsia farshi salwar set by Devnaagri, priced at ₹42,500. The vibrant pink ensemble features a flowing silhouette, delicate embellishments and a sheer dupatta that adds movement and softness to the otherwise statement-making look. The farshi-inspired salwar brings a distinctly old-world touch, while the vivid colour keeps the outfit firmly rooted in modern celebrity fashion.

A Much-Awaited Big-Screen Comeback
Batwara 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, marks her return to the big screen after an eight-year acting break. The Partition-era drama features Zinta alongside Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal and is set to release on August 14, 2026.
The film has generated considerable interest not just because of its period setting, but also because it reunites Zinta with Santoshi, who directed her in The Legend of Bhagat Singh.
