SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi officially began his military service as an active soldier on September 16, becoming the fourth member of the popular K-pop group to enlist, following Jeonghan, Wonwoo, and Woozi. The moment was particularly emotional for fans as Woozi had enlisted just a day earlier, on September 15. Both idols had announced their enlistment back in March during a fan meeting celebrating SEVENTEEN’s 10th anniversary. Their back-to-back departures were bittersweet for loyal fans, CARATs, who sent heartfelt wishes for their safety and happiness.
The group has systematically planned their enlistments so that their break as a full team doesn’t take too long. Before starting their service, Hoshi and Woozi took some time off to attend SEVENTEEN’s
concert in Incheon. With their newly shaved hair, they were seen in the audience as the group began their world tour, New.
Hoshi And Woozi’s Farewell
Wishing them luck, a fan shared the video from the concert and wrote, “Carats’ two captains, SEVENTEEN’s main producers, my Hoshi Woozi, take care on your duty and comeback safe and stronger, hope you keep healthy and happy always, hope you can find more good experience there and could take your time.”

Final Fan Events Before Military Service
In July, SEVENTEEN’s agency PLEDIS Entertainment shared the enlistment dates for Hoshi and Woozi on Weverse. They explained that the two members will take part in a special fan concert together, along with a video call fan signing event for the group’s fifth studio album, Yizhiyu, as their final schedules before beginning military service. Once they start their duty, they will no longer be part of SEVENTEEN’s ongoing group activities. Still, the agency assured fans that Hoshi and Woozi had already prepared plenty of recorded content, so CARATs can continue to see and feel connected with them during their hiatus.
Earlier, SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan began his military service in September 2024 and Wonwoo in April 2025.
SEVENTEEN started their world tour, New, with shows on September 13 and 14 in Incheon, South Korea. Next, they will perform in Hong Kong on September 27 and 28. In October, the group will head to different cities in the United States and from November 27 to December 21, they are scheduled to tour several cities in Japan.
