The 50 recently made its much-awaited debut, instantly grabbing attention with high-voltage drama. The reality show has already seen its first eviction, and following this eviction, the show has only intensified, delivering explosive arguments and controversial moments. Meanwhile, YouTuber and influencer Shreya Kalra has revealed how she was approached for the show.
Shreya was speaking to Vanshaj Singh, the first contestant to be eliminated from The 50, when she said, “They told me I could bring my friends along, but I would have to share their names first. Based on that, they would decide whom to cast on the show.”

She further
added, “So the people who are with Prince—maybe their names were given by Prince, and that’s how they got cast.” Vanshaj said, “One hundred per cent, because half of them wouldn’t get work if Prince didn’t recommend them.”
Recently, on the show, Prince Narula made comments on how influencers have ruined the entertainment industry. Sharing his views, Prince stated that since reel makers entered the industry, its value has declined. He remarked, “Inki value aise bara di jaise pata nahi ki yeh kya hain.” He further added, “12 second seh upar acting nahi kar sakte.”
Actor Karan Patel echoed Prince Narula’s sentiments, agreeing with his criticism of influencer culture. Reflecting on his own journey, Karan said that when he began acting, there were far fewer opportunities to gain fame. He pointed out that influencers today have it easier, as they can use smartphones to record videos and upload them instantly.
