Following the example of IIM Bangalore, IIM Mumbai has introduced undergraduate programmes. The institute now offers a four-year Bachelor’s programme in Digital Science and Business Management. This course aims to provide Indian youth with the advanced digital and managerial skills essential for the future job market, the IIM stated.
The curriculum integrates emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things, and Robotics with core management areas like Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Manufacturing.
The programme has been designed in full alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP), offering flexibility through multiple entry and exit options, thus making it inclusive and future-oriented.
“Conceptualised with leading knowledge partners such as C4i4 and several industry collaborators, the programme integrates strong practical and experiential components. IIM Mumbai is also engaging with Accenture Strategy to incorporate internship-based learning and real-life industry applications, ensuring students gain hands-on exposure to contemporary digital business challenges,” states the official notice.
“Discussions are further underway with IMT France to explore international collaboration, offering students global perspectives and opportunities for academic enrichment. Designed in full alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP), the programme offers flexibility through multiple entry and exit options, making it both inclusive and future-oriented,” it added.
Course To Be Offered In Pune Campus
The undergraduate programme will be offered from IIM Mumbai’s Pune campus, which will function as an extension of the main campus. The Pune Municipal Corporation has agreed to provide a building for this purpose, which will be renovated to meet operational and academic standards. This facility will accommodate teaching and academic activities related to the undergraduate programme. IIM Mumbai stated that the Pune campus would help the institute expand access to quality undergraduate education while maintaining its academic standards and institutional values.
