What Is Lord Curzon Ki Haveli About?

The film revolves around two Indian couples living in England who gather for dinner at an old countryside house. Dr Basukinath, played by Paresh Pahuja, is a rigid and authoritative British-Indian doctor who arrives at the secluded estate with his wife Ira, played by Rasika Dugal.

They are visiting Sanya, played by Zoha Rahman, and her laid-back boyfriend Rohit, played by Arjun Mathur. As soon as Basuki enters the house, he notices a large wooden chest in the living room. Rohit jokingly claims that the body of British ruler Lord Curzon is hidden inside it.

What begins as a casual joke slowly turns into suspicion as Basuki’s curiosity grows. His insistence on opening the trunk leads to a tense, absurd and increasingly uncomfortable evening where buried prejudices and secrets begin to surface.
