Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s son Yug Devgan stole the spotlight at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja celebrations this Maha Ashtami. Known for his shy and quiet nature, Yug initially hesitated when the priest encouraged him to chant into the microphone.
After some sweet coaxing, the youngster stood up and chanted “Durga Maa Ki Jai”, earning applause from Kajol, who proudly clapped for him. The heartwarming moment quickly became one of the highlights of the day.
Apart from cheering for Yug, Kajol was seen sharing tender moments with him during the puja. In one instance, Yug hugged his mother and whispered something in her ear, as she lovingly wrapped her arm around him. Kajol looked
radiant in a traditional saree paired with statement jewelry, her hair neatly tied in a bun.
Kajol also interacted warmly with attendees. She was spotted having a lively chat with veteran actress Jaya Bachchan before posing for pictures alongside her sister Tanishaa Mukerji and cousin Rani Mukerji. Throughout the day, the actress greeted fellow guests with warmth and clicked selfies, embodying the festive spirit.
Bollywood Stars At Durga Puja 2025
The Mukerji family’s annual Durga Puja pandal once again drew several stars. Rani Mukerji, Tanishaa Mukerji, Bipasha Basu with husband Karan Singh Grover and daughter Devi, Jaya Bachchan, and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan were all seen seeking blessings of Maa Durga.
For Kajol, this year’s celebrations were bittersweet. She recently reflected on the emotional significance of the puja following the passing of her uncle Deb Mukherjee, father of filmmaker Ayan Mukerji. Sharing pictures with her cousins on Instagram, Kajol wrote, “The unveiling .. such an emotional moment .. to step on the pandal after this past year and all our losses, somehow it was dearer and at the same time so tough to do.. we miss them all.”
