Chandigarh, Jul 1 (PTI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday directed officials to ensure that the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is conducted in a transparent, fair and smooth manner on the lines of the Common Eligibility Test (CET).
Chairing a review meeting here, the chief minister said all necessary arrangements should be made at examination centres so that candidates do not face any inconvenience.
He said candidates who face difficulty in reaching their examination centres on time can contact Dial 112 and the police will provide immediate assistance.
A control room has been set up at the Board of School Education Haryana headquarters to monitor the examination, while flying squads have been deployed at the district
and state levels.
Saini also directed the Transport Department to arrange additional buses for candidates, particularly those from Panchkula, Karnal and Kurukshetra, whose examination centres have been shifted to other districts due to the simultaneous conduct of the ADA examination.
The HTET will be held in three sessions on July 4 and 5. The Level-3 (PGT) examination will be conducted on July 4 from 3 pm to 5.30 pm at 238 centres for 73,091 candidates.
On July 5, the Level-2 (TGT) examination will be held from 10 am to 12.30 pm at 383 centres for 1,19,141 candidates, followed by the Level-1 (PRT) examination from 3 pm to 5.30 pm at 139 centres for 41,062 candidates.
A total of 2,33,294 candidates, including 1,66,137 women and 67,157 men, will appear at 383 examination centres across Haryana.
The chief minister said candidates have been allotted centres in their home districts, except in districts where the ADA examination is being held.
To ensure fair conduct of the examination, Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) will be enforced outside all examination centres. Photocopy shops near the centres will remain closed for three hours before the examination.
Saini directed officials to ensure CCTV cameras are installed and functioning at all centres by July 3. Ambulance services will also be available at every examination centre.
Candidates will have to report to their centres two hours and 10 minutes before the examination for biometric verification and security checks. Entry will close one hour before the examination begins, and mobile phones and other electronic devices will not be allowed inside the examination centres. PTI VSD MNK MNK
