Mahabharat actor and wrestler Saurav Gurjar is under fire as, reportedly, a complaint has been filed against him in Mumbai by a woman. The report allegedly claimed that he deceived and harassed the woman after promising to marry her.
India Today stated that the woman met Gurjar on Instagram in 2021 and later became close to him through WhatsApp. The complaint stated that he promised to marry her and that they both lived together in the US and even after she returned to India. The woman, in her complaint, stated that he convinced her to quit her job in the US and return to India, with the impression that they would start a business in India together.
She shared that after promising marriage, he would block her phone number and distance himself
whenever she would question him about marriage plans. The woman claimed that she and the actor stayed together from October 2025 to March 2026 before he allegedly disappeared without informing her.
Following the complaint, Gachibowli police filed a case and began investigating the matter. According to reports, officers detained Gurjar at Mumbai airport before taking him to Hyderabad for further proceedings. He was later sent to judicial custody.
Who Is Saurav Gurjar?
Saurav Gurjar is a WWE wrestler who played the villain in Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra. Becoming a wrestler was Saurav’s childhood dream, but luck took him to Bollywood. To fulfil his dream, 14 years ago, Saurav moved to Mumbai from his hometown, Gwalior. Brahmastra is not the first time Saurav appeared on screen; the actor had earlier played the role of Bheem in Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s TV show Mahabharat (2013–2014).
Back in 2019, Saurav divulged his film journey and said that he signed the contracts for Brahmastra and WWE on the same day in 2018. Initially, he was not ready to do the film as his plans and goals were all linked to WWE, but after meeting Ayan Mukerji, he agreed to get on board for the project.
It wasn’t easy for Saurav as he was contracted to WWE, but Ayan explained to him how this would be good for his wrestling career as well. Saurav said that WWE also acknowledged that the film would be beneficial in building a market for him.
