South Africa veteran David Miller underlined that the Delhi Capitals camp has closed ranks, refusing to single out scapegoats as they chase an improbable late push for an IPL playoff berth.
After a stretch riddled with batting implosions and costly errors in the field, Delhi enter the final leg of the league phase knowing every outing is effectively a knockout.

DC now needs to win all four remaining games to stay in contention for the playoffs.
“We are in a position where we have spoken that it is all of us together. Win or lose, we are together,” Miller said ahead of the game against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
“And there is no pointing fingers at all with what we have done. We are all in it together,”
Miller added.
Emphasising that the scenario is crystal clear for the side from here, he continued: “The reality is we have got four games to win. So if we do that, then we are putting ourselves in a good position.”
Looking back at Delhi’s recent losses, Miller felt the overall standard of play has not been poor, but the side has slipped at decisive junctures.
“I do not think we have been playing bad cricket at all. We have been playing really good cricket, but there are just moments in the game where we have kind of let ourselves down as a team in certain areas.”
Turning to his own campaign, which has been disrupted by sporadic appearances in the XI, Miller conceded the situation has tested his patience while acknowledging the realities of franchise cricket.
“Not being able to play, obviously, is frustrating as a player. You always want to play every game, but such is the IPL, the structure of it, with only four overseas, the combinations become really important for the team,” he explained.
Breaking down the batting issues, he highlighted repeated collapses as a key pattern in their defeats.
“The games that we have not done too well, we have lost wickets in clusters. Two, three, four wickets quite closely,” Miller observed.
DC’s fielding, too, has been poor to say the least.
“And then there are moments here and there where we have dropped a couple of catches that potentially could have changed the outcome of the game.”
Discussing how T20 batting has evolved, Miller noted that contemporary players are relentlessly aggressive from the outset, constantly stretching the limits.
“The mindset and mentality around batters nowadays has definitely gone to another level,” he noted.
Yet he underlined that amid these shifts, staying true to one’s strengths remains crucial.
“For someone like me, it is just about making sure that my skills and what my strengths are is to keep them really strong,” he said.
Miller further lauded spinner Kuldeep Yadav, describing him as a proven match-winner even though his recent numbers have dipped.
“With someone like Kuldeep, I have always played against him, and I do not like facing him,” Miller said.
“He is a great character, and for me it is important to have those kinds of guys continually playing because he is a match-winner.”
With the tournament entering its decisive phase, Miller said the group is channelling all its energy into the last four fixtures, treating them as a fresh block.
“Whatever has happened in the last ten games, we are taking the good with that. But the next four games are huge,” he signed off.
