While the project is still in its early stages, the latest reports suggest that the actor has already allotted dates for the film, which is expected to go on floors. The actor has completed the shoot of Peddi, and the makers recently announced the release date too.

According to 123 Telugu, in 2025, producer Naga Vamsi confirmed that Ram Charan will start shooting for the project after completing Peddi. Reportedly, the story and director are yet to be finalised, even as the latest reports suggest that Charan has already allotted dates for the film.

locked its release date. The makers announced at a grand event that the film will hit theatres on June 4, 2026, positioning it as one of the biggest theatrical releases of the year. With the release scheduled right after the IPL season, the team appears to be eyeing a strong post-tournament window for the film’s arrival.

Headlined by Ram Charan, Peddi also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers. The music has been composed by A. R. Rahman.

The release date announcement event turned into a major fan moment, with several members of the team and industry figures speaking about the film. Director Sukumar, who attended the event, made a big statement about Ram Charan’s performance in Peddi. He said, “You haven’t witnessed a performance like this before from Ram Charan.”

Director Buchi Babu Sana also spoke about the emotional hold of the film and said, “Taking Peddi out of your heart isn’t that easy.”

Producer Venkata Satish Kilaru described the film as “an emotional ride,” while cinematographer R. Rathnavelu hinted that the team has attempted something fresh within a commercial format. He said, “We’ve tried something different in a commercials way and it’ll work really big.”

Peddi stars Ram Charan in the titular role and features Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal parts. With Buchi Babu Sana at the helm and A. R. Rahman handling the music, the film is being mounted as a major commercial entertainer with an emotional core.
