At least 8 people were killed and several were left injured on Monday, November 10, after a car exploded near New Delhi’s Red Fort. Officials now suspect that it was a terror-related incident, which occurred close to Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station at around 6:52 PM. The incident has left the entire country shaken.
Many have taken to social media to express their sorrow and condolences for the lives lost. Among them is Bollywood star Sonu Sood. The 52-year-old actor shared a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, urging people to support the victims and to maintain peace in society.

Raveena Tandon Calls It “Horrible News”
Meanwhile, actress Raveena Tandon also sent her condolences to the families of the victims through a post on X. Calling the incident “horrible news”, she wrote, “Condolences to all those bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the Delhi blast.”

According to reports, the vehicle involved in the blast was a Hyundai i20 parked near Gauri Shankar Mandir. Officials said the impact appeared concentrated at the rear of the car, with no crater or flat spot found at the site, indicating a low-intensity explosion or internal malfunction.
Delhi Police told CNN-News18 that ammonium nitrate was likely used in the blast. They also nabbed one suspect in the blast incident, sources said, adding that a multi-agency investigation has been launched. CCTV footage from the metro station and surrounding areas is being thoroughly scanned as part of the ongoing investigation. The exact cause of the explosion, which triggered panic in the area, remains under investigation.
