A social media post by the co-founder and CEO of fintech company Extend has gone viral after he shared an unexpected scene unfolding right outside his office window.
On Thursday, Kushal Byatnal, the Indian-origin
entrepreneur who leads the New York-based fintech firm, took to X to share a photo and a light-hearted observation. He revealed that Extend’s office is “directly across the street” from the campaign headquarters of the city’s mayor-elect, Zohran Mamdani.

In his post, Byatnal wrote that his team had just wrapped up their daily stand-up meeting when they happened to look out of the window — only to see US Senator Elizabeth Warren and Zohran Mamdani “in a deep debate” inside the campaign office opposite.
“Our office is directly across the street from Mamdani’s campaign HQ,” Byatnal wrote. “We looked over after standup today and surprise, Elizabeth Warren and Mamdani in a deep debate. Team is tempted to put up a sign petitioning for @ExtendHQ to take over doc processing for NYC.”
Alongside the caption, Byatnal shared a photo taken from his window, showing Warren and Mamdani in an animated conversation.
The post quickly caught the attention of users online, drawing a mix of humorous and curious reactions. One user joked, “Debating who has to pay for lunch,” while another quipped, “Typical Indian neighbour behaviour lol.”

Some wondered what the pair were discussing, with one comment reading, “Why is he sparring with her? I don’t think her policies work for NYC.”
Others took the opportunity to poke fun at the situation. “Use one of those laser listening devices that measures window vibrations,” one person joked, while another suggested, “Dude put a huge printed poster outside your window with a custom website w a demo made for them with, crisp pain you solve and CTA (text or email). Guarantee you’ll get the meeting!”
