‘I'm A Father Too’: Bengaluru Woman's Midnight Auto Ride Goes Viral For Driver's Heartwarming Note

A late-night auto ride in Bengaluru has drawn heaps of praise among netizens after a woman passenger shared a video of a local driver’s thoughtful gesture to make female commuters feel safe.

posted on Instagram by the page Little Bengaluru Stories, showed the woman travelling in a Rapido auto around midnight. While recording her experience, she showed a message displayed at the back of the vehicle, which is amassing thousands of likes and a flurry of comments praising the driver.

The video begins with the woman seated in an auto, recording her experience. She shares that she was travelling in a Rapido auto at 12 am. After a brief pause, she shows viewers the message that made her feel “safe.”

She then turned the camera to show a note pasted inside the vehicle, written in both Kannada and English, that read: “I’m a father/brother too. Your safety matters. Sit back comfortably.”

Visibly moved, the woman can be heard saying she was “actually feeling safe now,” appreciating the driver’s effort to reassure passengers travelling late at night.

The clip quickly went viral, garnering thousands of likes and an outpouring of appreciation for the driver’s sensitivity. Social media users praised the gesture as an example of Bengaluru’s inclusive and empathetic culture.
