Sara Arjun Says Dhurandhar 2 Will Reveal Her Character Yalina’s True Strength

Following the massive success of Dhurandhar, Sara Arjun has now shared what audiences can expect from the film’s sequel and her character, Yalina. The young star is busy promoting her Telugu film Euphoria,

which will mark her debut in Telugu cinema in a leading role.

Arjun, who has established herself as a popular child actress, got her breakthrough with Dhurandhar. She further teased that the true potential of her character will be seen in part 2 of the film.

Sara Arjun says there’s ‘lot more’ coming in Dhurandhar 2

In an interview to NDTV, Sara said, “The audiences have high expectations already after part one, but you can just expect a lot more of everything that you loved already in part one, be it action, be it the story, everything. There’s a lot more of all that coming in part two.”

Sara plays Yalina Jamali, the daughter of Pakistani politician Jameel Jamali (Rakesh Bedi). Ranveer Singh’s character schemes to make her fall in love, and eventually, the two get married.

Talking about her character in Dhurandhar 2, she said, “I really like how she just thinks with her heart. This is a girl who is very strong, and at the same time, she is so smitten, and she is following her heart. You will see Yalina’s true strength… The actual scope of my character is in part two, mostly… We had a lot of discussion initially, before starting on.”

She added, “We kept throwing ideas on how she would be as a person. We wanted to show that she’s a very happy and bright soul, and then eventually the course that follows and her journey through the film, the pain will be more justified later on… In general, Yalina is a bit similar to who I am. So, I held on to those (similarities)… Ideally all characters should matter to the story and not be just a prop. I look at that as their minimum, to be honest.”

Dhurandhar 2 set to clash with Toxic

Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar was a massive commercial and critical success, breaking several records and becoming the biggest movie of 2025. The movie has collected a worldwide gross of Rs 1283.5 crore until Day 45, according to Sacnilk, and Rs 989.9 crore in India, while the overseas collection stands at Rs 293.6 crore.

Dhurandhar 2 is already generating hype, bad buzz, but its clash with Yash’s Toxic has started fan wars. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups will mark Yash’s comeback after KGF: Chapter 2. The two movies are set to release on March 19, and it was recently reported that the teaser of Dhurandhar 2 will be attached to Border 2.
