Thane, Sep 19 (PTI) Three persons were arrested for allegedly murdering a 34-year-old man inside a fuel pump in Bhiwandi in Thane district, a police official said on Saturday.
Rajesh Shukla, hailing from Rewa in Madhya Pradesh, was beaten to death inside the fuel pump located at Vanjarpatti Naka on September 17-18, the Nizampura police station official said.
“The accused, identified as Utsav Devendra Chaturvedi, Sandeep Omprakash Upadhyay and Kalam Abdul Ansari, hit Shukla with brooms, sticks and the handle of a mop, killing him on the spot. They then hid the body near the fuel pump,” he said.
They have been arrested and charged under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita provisions for murder, causing disappearance of evidence and other offences, the official
