Bengaluru residents are set to experience continued chilly nights over the next few days, with dry weather conditions prevailing across Karnataka. While daytime temperatures are expected to remain pleasant, a noticeable dip in night temperatures has brought a mild winter chill to the city.
Bengaluru city recorded a minimum temperature of 14.7°C, while HAL Airport reported 13.3°C and Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL) dropped further to 12.0°C.
Today’s forecast points to a refreshing start, with morning temperatures at a cool 13.6°C, rising to a warm 25.6°C by midday. Humidity is expected to remain moderate at 58 per cent, making for comfortable outdoor conditions.
The Air Quality Index remained at 103 on Sunday, indicating moderate air quality.
There is no precipitation expected, and the sky is anticipated to remain cloudless, ensuring abundant sunshine.
As evening sets in, temperatures are expected to drop to a pleasant 18°C, creating ideal conditions for a relaxing walk or an outdoor dinner.
Vijayapura recorded the lowest temperature in the plains at 7.0°C, followed by Bidar at 7.8°C.
In South Interior Karnataka, Chintamani was the coldest, with a minimum temperature of 8.4°C, underscoring the widespread impact of the cold wave.
The prevailing cold wave is in line with the seasonal winter pattern as December progresses toward January. Weather officials said December 13 is likely to be among the coldest days, with minimum temperatures around 17°C, expected to be the lowest over the next seven days.
