Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor, who recently clinched a landmark victory in the by-election to Bihar’s Bankipur, announced Tuesday that he would ensure private jobs for at least 10,000 youths in his assembly segment in the next two years.
Kishor, a former political strategist, was elected as the MLA in the by-election to Bankipur. The seat was vacated following the resignation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Nabin after he was elected to the Rajya Sabha.
He announced that he would leverage his “big contacts” across the country to provide jobs to the the qualified youngsters in his segment. Addressing a public meeting in Bankipur, the Jan Suraaj founder said: “If your children are educated yet unemployed, bring their CVs
to our office. We will arrange jobs for at least 10,000 of them within the next two years”, according to PTI.
“Through the big contacts I have, and the people I have helped in the past, I will make sure they get job in different parts of the country”, he added.
‘Will Facilitate Jobs Once…’
Prashant Kishor vowed that he would create job opportunities in Bihar once the Jan Suraaj Party came to power but added that “for the time being, you will have to settle for jobs both within and outside the state”.
“Within a year, the quality of education in government schools will be improved to an extent that people will enrol their children in those institutions. If it does not happen, the responsibility of getting them enrolled in private schools and paying fees will fall on Prashant Kishor”, he said, PTI reported.
On Police Action At Jantar Mantar
Prashant Kishor also condemned the police action against students at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, where they were protesting over the paper leak controversy linked to the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026.
“Lathi charge occurred in both New Delhi and Jharkhand, but the governments cannot intimidate the youth with the fear of lathis. There is an undercurrent force which, if problems are not solved in due time, will keep spreading,” Kishor said.
Prashant Kishor –– who suffered a bruising defeat in the 2025 Bihar Assembly Election after his party drew a blank –– made a strong comeback in Bankipur, defeating BJP’s Neeraj Sinha by nearly 20,000 votes.
This historic win breached a 30-year-old BJP urban stronghold, successfully cementing Jan Suraaj’s first official seat inside the Bihar Legislative Assembly.
