Prabhas’ upcoming film Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is likely to see a change in its theatrical release plans. According to the latest reports, the makers are now eyeing a festive Dussehra release, moving away from the initially planned August 2026 window that coincided with the Independence Day weekend. Well, there has been no official confirmation yet.
According to 123 Telugu, the makers have earlier targeted an August release during Independence Week. But they are eyeing Dthe ussehra festival. Prabhas is said to have allotted all his dates to Fauzi until the shoot is wrapped up. Fauzi is an action-packed story set in the 1940s and explores human emotions along with socio-political tensions during the British era.

In 2025, the makers officially unveiled the title and first look poster of the film, Fauzi. The announcement sent fans into a frenzy, as the poster hints at a high-octane action drama. About the film
Reportedly, the film is said to be a large-scale pre-Independence-era patriotic war drama. The hero will play a soldier leading a lone battalion, fighting for freedom and honour. The film will explore themes of bravery, sacrifice, and destiny, echoing the spirit of epic warriors. The film will features Imanvi Esmail as the female lead. Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, and Jaya Prada will be playing key roles. Reports also suggest the film’s title could be “Fauji”, as hinted earlier by actor Pradeep Ranganathan, though official confirmation is awaited.
