The win over MI at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai is PBKS’ fourth win in five matches of IPL 2026. They now have 9 points to their credit, which is one more than Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s and Rajasthan Royals’ tally of 8 each.
Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, remain ninth in the IPL 2026 points table. They have won one and suffered defeat in four matches. The Hardik Pandya-led side only has 2 points to their name.

PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer scored his third fifty in a row on Thursday. He played a knock of 66 runs from 35 balls to extend his tally of runs to 203 in four innings. He is now sixth in the Orange Cap race. On the other hand, Prabhsimran Singh is fifth in the list of batters with most runs in IPL 2026. Prabhsimran, who remained unbeaten on 80 runs in the 196-run chase, overall has scored 211 runs in this year’s IPL.
Only Virat Kohli (228), Heinrich Klaasen (224), Rajat Patidar (222) and Ishan Kishan (213) are ahead of him in the run-getters list.
For Mumbai Indians, Quinton de Kock scored a brilliant century (112 not out from 60 balls) in his first match of IPL 2026. He has already become MI’s third-highest run-getter in IPL 2026.
