Thane, Sep 5 (PTI) Four persons were arrested from Balotra district in Rajasthan allegedly with mephedrone worth more than Rs 61 lakh, a police official said on Saturday.
The operation was carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) Unit-1 of Mira-Bhayandar Vasai-Virar (MBVV) Police Commissionerate after an NDPS Act case was registered at Kashimira police station, he added.
“Based on specific intelligence, an ANC team travelled to Balotra district in Rajasthan 800 kilometres away and arrested three persons from Navora Bera in Patori taluka there. A total of 2.045 kg of mephedrone valued at Rs 61,35,000 was seized. A vehicle worth Rs 21 lakh was also confiscated,” he said.
The arrested persons have been identified as Kamme Mobin Khan (36), Ashok
Kumar Mangilal Dadi (20), Narendrakumar Dhanaram Bangadwa (29) and Virdharam Devaram Devasi (20). PTI COR BNM
