Raja Chaudhary is back in the spotlight ever since his controversial remarks against his former wife, Shweta Tiwari, from a recent interview grabbed attention. The actor even spoke candidly about his strained equation with daughter Palak Tiwari, revealing that their relationship has remained distant since his separation from Shweta. Raja claimed that he has not been in touch with Palak since 2022–23, adding that their last meeting ended abruptly after she reportedly left his birthday celebration within just 10 minutes.
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Raja Chaudhary claimed that he shared a close bond with his daughter Palak Tiwari until she was around eight years old. Now 26, Palak has reportedly been out of touch with him for years,
with Raja saying they have spoken only two or three times since then. He further revealed that he has blocked both Palak and his ex-wife Shweta Tiwari on Instagram, explaining that he no longer wishes to come across their photos or videos on social media.
The actor said, “When you have a kid, you are a different person immediately. I lost everything. Forget money and career. I am a father, and I have created something. This is my product. How is it possible for a man to be normal? That’s how alcoholism got into my life. Let’s drink and keep on drinking until you die. It was a risky decision I took in my life. I cannot spend time with my daughter; I cannot pick her up from school. Now she’s not with me.”
Speaking about their strained relationship, Raja claimed he had tried to reconnect with Palak by inviting her to his birthday celebration. However, he alleged that she left within 10 minutes of arriving, and said they have not spoken to each other since. He added, “23 July 2022 or 2023 was the last time I spoke to her (Palak). It was my birthday, and she came to my home for a visit. She left in 10 minutes, saying she had work.”
Responding to a question about why Palak left within minutes of arriving, Raja claimed that he had mentioned Shweta Tiwari during their conversation. According to him, it may have made Palak uncomfortable, leading her to leave shortly afterwards. Raja shared, “I invited her home. I’ll cook for you. Let’s celebrate my birthday. That didn’t work out. I just said, you could’ve come with your mother. (laughs) Possible, quite possible (that she was triggered by that).”
Raja and Shweta got married in 1998 and welcomed daughter Palak in 2000. They separated after Shweta filed for divorce in 2007, and their marriage was legally dissolved in 2012. In her divorce proceedings, Shweta had levelled allegations of domestic violence against Raja, which he has denied.
