This ward is reserved for Scheduled Caste (Women) and has a total population of 49050, of which 8806 belong to the Scheduled Castes and 524 belong to the Scheduled Tribes.

The gazette notification for the BMC Ward No. 183 (G/North) was issued on December 15, 2025 (Monday), the last date of scrutiny of nominations was December 31, 2025 (Wednesday) and the last date of withdrawal of nominations was January 2, 2026 (Friday). The extent of the ward as published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette is as follows: A line starting from the junction of Western Railway Lines and northern Limits of Mumbai City and running eastwards along the northern Limits of Mumbai City upto its junction with Central Railway Lines across Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg; thence southwards along the Central Railway Lines upto its junction with Sant Rohidas Marg (Dharavi Road) at Sion Flyover Bridge; thence westwards along the northside of Sant Rohidas Marg and Mutthuram Lingam Tewar Marg (Mahim–Sion Link Road) upto its junction with Western Railway Linesat Mahim; thence northwards along the Western Railway Lines upto its junction with northern Limits of Mumbai City ……the starting point. PREVIOUS BMC ELECTION RESULT
The last Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections were held on February 21, 2017, in which Shiv Sena was the single largest party with 84 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party won 82 seats. Indian National Congress secured 31 seats, Nationalist Congress Party won nine, and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena won seven seats. Other parties included Samajwadi Party, which won six seats; the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen won two seats and the Akhil Bhartiya Sena won a single seat. Five Independent candidates also won seats in the election.
