Aryan won the Best Debutant Director of the Year award at the NDTV Indian of the Year event in New Delhi for his series, and he dedicated his award to his mother, Gauri Khan. Now, Gauri has taken to her social media to praise her son.

While receiving the award, he dedicated it to his mom Gauri and

said, “First, I would like to thank the cast, crew, and Netflix for believing in a first-time director. Congratulations to all the winners tonight—this is my first award. I hope to win more. Mere dad ke tarah, mujhe bhi awards bohot pasand hai, but yeh award unke liye nahi.” He added, “This award is for my mom kyunki meri mom mujhse hamesha kehti hain jaldi sona, logon ka mazak nahi udana aur gaali galoch bilkul nahi… aur aaj inhi sab cheezun ke liye mujhe yeh award mila hai. Thank you for making my mom the happiest woman in the world, and I know aaj ghar jaake mujhe thodi kum dant padegi.”
