Picture this: you are driving a car on a busy road when suddenly something wriggles free from the narrow crack of the vehicle’s side mirror. To your horror, you find out that it is a snake. It is quite
natural to panic in such a frightening situation, one because it can lead to accidents and second because you are unaware whether the snake is poisonous or not. A similar incident unfolded on the Namakkal–Salem Road in Tamil Nadu, where a driver discovered a snake hiding in his car’s side mirror.
A video of the man’s chilling encounter with the snake was posted on X. It came with an elaborate advisory that read, “As the cold and rainy season sets in, motorists are urged to be extra cautious before hitting the road. Always inspect your vehicle thoroughly, especially under the bonnet, wheel arches, and side mirrors, as snakes and other small creatures often seek warmth and shelter inside parked vehicles during this season.”
Snake Squirms From Car’s Side Mirror
The clip showed a small snake wiggling from the space between the barely-there opening of the side mirror of the in-motion car. The serpent appeared to be stuck in the constructed space. Two people on a scooter moving past the vehicle caught the unusual sight and were clearly taken aback. According to reports, the driver managed to stop his car safely. Following the incident, authorities and wildlife experts have advised drivers to “check their vehicles carefully before starting, particularly after long parking hours or in areas surrounded by vegetation.”

Internet Reacts To Driver’s Viral Snake Encounter
“Not a blind spot. A bite spot,” noted one user. “Initially, I thought he had deliberately placed this toy over there to scare the bikers who overtake,” joked another. “Objects in the mirror are poisonous than they appear,” read a pun-intended comment.
“That’s quite a serious reminder. Nature always finds a way to surprise us. A quick vehicle check can truly save lives,” shared a concerned individual. “Hope it is not an AI-created video,” wondered one person. “Looks like it is stuck. You have to adjust the mirror to free it,” pointed out someone else.
